The Rotary Club of Kampala 7Hills Club No. 89884 district 9211 Chartered in Feb, 2019 in Kampala, Uganda; Is a humanitarian service organization whose stated purpose is to bring together businesses & professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian service and to advance good will & peace around the world.
Why the name Kampala 7 Hills? The name the club after the seven original hills of Kampala namely; Kololo, Nakasero, Makerere, Mengo, Namirembe, Rubaga and Old Kampala.
The objective is to bring together young professionals and business persons and to use our classifications to promote peace, fight poverty, ensure provision of clean water, health care and basic education for the communities on the roots of those hills.
The Club currently has 37 members. Membership is composed of 16 females and 14 males, with an average age of 37 years. Fellowships were started in April 2017 under the parental care of the RC of Kampala Ssese Islands until Thursday 27th February 2019 when the club was admitted into the Rotary international family.
The club has a 10-year strategic plan that rotates around six areas of focus and these will greatly improve the livelyhood of our communities.
